How to maintain a bridge crane?

1、 Inspection and Maintenance System for Bridge Cranes

Due to the large number of components in the bridge crane, we divide the maintenance and inspection cycles into weekly, monthly, and annual cycles based on the different technical characteristics of each component in actual work. The specific contents of each cycle are as follows:

1. Weekly inspection and maintenance

Maintain and inspect once a week, and the contents of the inspection and maintenance are as follows:

(1) Check whether the nuts, split pins, and positioning plates on the brake of the bridge crane are complete and loose, whether the lever and spring have no cracks, and whether the pin bolts and buffer washers on the brake wheel are loose and complete; Whether the brake is reliable in braking. When the brake is opened, the opening of the brake pad should be less than 1.0mm and the gap between the brake pad and the two sides of the brake wheel should be equal. There should be no jamming of each axle pin.

(2) Check whether the safety protection switch and limit switch of the bridge crane are accurately positioned, flexible and reliable in operation, especially whether the lifting limit is reliable.

(3) Check whether the wire rope winding on the drum and pulley of the bridge crane is normal, whether there are any phenomena such as groove detachment, groove stringing, knotting, twisting, etc., whether the wire rope pressing plate bolts are tightened, and whether there is a double nut anti loosening device.

(4) Check if the fastening screws on the coupling sealing cover of the lifting mechanism of the bridge crane are loose or missing.

(5) Check if the transmission of each mechanism is normal and if there are any abnormal noises.

(6) Check whether the lubrication condition of all lubrication parts is good.

(7) Check if there are any foreign objects obstructing the operation of the bridge crane on the crane track.

2、 Monthly inspection and maintenance

Maintain and inspect once a month, which includes not only weekly tasks but also:

(1) The wear of the brake pad pad of the crane should not exceed 2mm, and the contact area between the pad and the brake wheel should not be less than 70%; Check the installation and fixing condition, wear and lubrication condition of each pin shaft. The wear of each pin shaft should not exceed 5% of the original diameter, and the wear of the small shaft and the main shaft should not exceed 5% of the original diameter and the ellipticity should be less than 0.5mm.

(2) Check the wear of the steel wire rope, whether there are any broken wires, and inspect the lubrication condition of the steel wire rope.

(3) Check whether the hook has cracks and whether the wear of its dangerous section exceeds 5% of the original thickness; Whether the anti loosening device of the hook nut is complete, and whether the various parts on the hook assembly are complete and reliable. The hook should rotate flexibly without any jamming phenomenon.

(4) Check all bolts of the crane for looseness and shortage.

(5) Check the tightening of bolts on the bases of motors, reducers, etc., and tighten them one by one.

(6) Check the lubrication condition of the reducer of the bridge crane, and ensure that the oil level is within the specified range. Measures should be taken to prevent oil leakage in the affected areas.

(7) Lubricate the gears.

(8) Check the wear of the steel wire rope at the balance pulley and lubricate the pulley and pulley shaft.

(9) Check the condition of the pulley to see if it is flexible, free from damage or cracks, and pay special attention to the wear of the fixed pulley shaft.

(10) Check the brake wheel, its working surface roughness should not exceed 1.5mm, the brake wheel should not have cracks, and its radial runout should be less than 0.3mm.

(11) Check the coupling, the upper key and keyway should not be damaged or loose; The axial displacement of the transmission shaft between the two couplings should be between 2-7mm.

(12) Check the operation status of the vehicle, and there should be no phenomena such as rail gnawing, three supports, twisting and swinging during starting and stopping. Check the wear of the wheel rim and tread. The wear of the wheel rim thickness should not exceed 50% of the original thickness, and the wear of the wheel tread should not exceed 3% of the original diameter of the wheel.

(13) Check the condition of the large vehicle track, whether the bolts are loose or missing, whether the pressure plate is fixed on the track, and whether the track has cracks or fractures; Is the gap between the two track joints 1-2mm (summer) or 3-5mm (winter), and is the misalignment of the joints more than 1mm.

(14) Clean the crane and remove any dirt from it.
